Me acaba de llegar esta información de tres fuentes diferentes:
According to Expansion BoS wants to limit the dividend payments of the banks to 30% of profits. This 30% would be for total dividend (inc scrip). The official announcement will be done in the near future, according to the article. In the cases of SAN, BBVA and Caixa we have the dividend pay out above 70% both in 2013 and 2014. For Bankinter the payout currently stands at c50%. We don’t have the details yet and if this will exclude banks with international operations (it could be possible). If this finally happens including the big two banks the impact to the share prices of the big two banks could be significant as the income funds are a significant part of their shareholder base. In Caixabank the impact would be more for their retail shareholders. In BKT the impact shouldn't be significant as their excess capital can be paid at a later stage.
