Criminal charges were filed against two former J.P. Morgan Chase traders who were at the center of a series of bad bets that cost the nation's largest bank more than $6 billion in losses.
U.S. STOCKS DRIFT LOWER ON CONCERN OVER OUTLOOK

U.S. JULY PRODUCER PRICES UNCHANGED
The producer price index was unchanged last month after rising 0.8% in June. Core prices, which exclude volatile food and energy costs, rose 0.1% in July. Economists had forecast a 0.3% gain in overall prices and a 0.2% rise in core prices.

Total U.S. household debt, including mortgages, credit cards and auto loans, fell by $78 billion in the second quarter to $11.15 trillion, the lowest level since 2006, according to a report by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
DEERE PROFIT UP AS FARM EQUIPMENT SALES GROW
Deere's fiscal 3Q earnings rose 26% to $996.5 million, or $2.56 a share, amid continued growth of farm-equipment sales in the U.S. and Canada. Total revenue, which includes Deere's financing unit, increased 4.4% to $10.01 billion.
