It appears that TPG, the private equity firm that in the spring of 2008 led a $7.2 billion infusion of capital into WaMu, was apparently trying to provide more capital in September 2008, according to internal regulatory emails. I had heard last year that executives were looking into this.

If this pans out - if this is true - if the email she refers to and others show that the FDIC knew more private capital was awaiting - or that the FDIC knew the 4B was a deposit and not on the books of WMB so WMB did already have a gateway to 4B and then more

If it is all true
If Kirsten keeps reporting it
If others pick it up - even as potential vs fact

But somehow I bet this is the last we hear that WMI-WMB had a private capital infuions line up (if true)

Increible como vienen a decir descaradamente que como wamu aportaba el 15% del prespuesto de la OTS, había colusión para que la OTS no le rebajara el rating, y luego wamu ni ninguno de sus directivos se atreve a decir nada claramente sobre la fdic/jpm???...
