Ayer dio datos positivos sobre su primer trasplante en sobre su ensayo de lesiones medulares. Tiene pinta de ir a querer cerrar el gap y puede ser buena entrada.
StemCells Inc (NASDAQ:STEM) announced that a special team at the University of Calgary have successfully transplanted the 1st subject in its Phase I/II clinical-trial in chronic spinal-cord injury, with StemCells Inc (NASDAQ:STEM)’s proprietary HuCNS-SC® human neural-stem cells. The 9th subject to enroll in this trial, which had been initiated in Switzerland, is its 1st spinal-cord injury patient to undergo transplantation in the North American region.
The expansion from a single-site and single-country study to a multi-country, multi-site speeds-up accelerates the current trial, which is expected to complete the enrollment of the remaining 3 patients this quarter. It will set the path for the company’s controlled Phase-II efficacy study that StemCells Inc (NASDAQ:STEM) plans on initiating mid-year to further study its HuCNS-SC product-candidate as a treatment for spinal-cord injury. Tal y como cuentan en el artículo, en Japón han cambiado la normativa sobre células madre y hay varias posibles beneficiarias de ello. Vigilad la que acabo de poner: STEM.
