share buyback week 23 2017


DFDS A/S has in week 23 purchased 32,411 own shares for DKK 11.9m as part of the
share buyback of DKK 300m launched on 8 February 2017 and expiring latest on
15 August 2017, ref. company announcement no. 12/2017 of 8 February 2017.

The accumulated buyback of 586,682 shares for DKK 222.1m amounts to 74.0% of the
programme.

Transporto centro partneriai Jungtinėje Karalystėje įsikūrę į rytus nuo Londono esančiame Bazildono mieste ir Anglijos centre esančiame Keteringe. Iš abiejų centrų patogu pasiekti miesto širdį.

Į Vokietiją ir Italiją

„Bendradarbiaudami su DFDS logistikos biuru Vokietijoje, mes teikiame efektyvias transportavimo į Vokietiją ir iš jos paslaugas. Galėsime Hamburge priimti krovinius, kurie pasieks Klaipėdą sekmadienį ir bus pristatytos Lietuvos klientams pirmadienį“, – sako L. Thorsenas.

Jis tikisi, kad pasibaigus vasarai klientams galės pasiūlyti ir pervežimus į Italiją ir iš jos, naudojantis DFDS kelių ir geležinkelių transportavimo paslaugomis tarp šiaurės Europos ir Italijos.

Be to, DFDS priima prekes, kurios pristatomos į Vilniaus perkrovimo centrą ir čia perkraunamos į kitą transportą gabenti į Rusiją ir Kazachstaną. DFDS jau atlieka „Volvo“ gamyklai Rusijoje skirtų prekių pervežimus tarp Švedijos ir Rusijos, taip pat transportuoja IKEA prekes ir statybines medžiagas.

„Mūsų perkrovimo centrai, į kuriuos prekės atvežamos paskirstyti arba toliau transportuoti, yra Vilniuje, Kaune ir Latvijos sostinėje Rygoje,“ – sako L. Thorsenas.

Nėra nei per mažų, nei per didelių krovinių

„Mūsų pagrindinė paslauga bus dalinių krovinių vežimas. Tačiau DFDS turi įrangos ir patirties transportuoti pilnus bei įvairių rūšių specialius ir negabaritinius krovinius. Trumpai tariant, mums niekas nebus nei per didelis nei per mažas krovinys“, – pažymi DFDS logistikos verslo Lietuvoje komercijos vadovas Mindaugas Ramaška.

New sales leadership for DFDS Seaways

World leading ferry operator DFDS has announced the appointment of Mark Henderson as its new regional sales manager for the north of England, Scotland and Ireland.

Colin Fawcus, national sales manager, DFDS, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mark into the UK sales team.

“He already has extensive knowledge of DFDS products, which puts him in a great position to build strong relationships with our existing trade partners and share his insight to attract new customers.”

Henderson has worked for DFDS since 2012 and his recent promotion sees him move shore-side from a customer-facing role as an officer on board the company’s Newcastle-Amsterdam ship, King Seaways, where he was in charge of all entertainment, the casino, and on board bars.

Speaking of his new appointment, Henderson said: “I’m very excited to be joining the DFDS sales team and I’m looking forward to meeting our travel trade partners.

    DFDS concentrates Russia services on St. Petersburg

    Danish shipping company DFDS is concentrating its Germany - Russia ferry services on the Kiel - St. Petersburg route from September 1st. From that date company RoRo ships leaving the Ostuferhafen will sail non-stop to St. Petersburg and will no longer stop in Ust-Luga. The liner shipping service will leave Kiel every Saturday evening arriving in St. Petersburg on Tuesday afternoon.

    Trucks, trailers, containers, agricultural and construction machinery, as well as export cars and project loads can be carried. The acceptance deadline for cargo is six hours before the departure of the ship. Dr Dirk Claus, Managing Director of the PORT OF KIEL (SEEHAFEN KIEL GmbH & Co. KG) said: “Traffic between Kiel and Russia has increased by a third in the first half of the year and DFDS is clearly taking this development into account by focussing on St. Petersburg”. The port of Ust-Luga has not been able to benefit from the positive developments of the last few months and will as a result initially no longer be served by DFDS. Despite the upward trend in the first half of the year absolute transport volumes in Russia traffic are still below those recorded before the imposition of trade restrictions.

    “Concentration on St. Petersburg”, said Dirk Claus, “means that shorter transit times are now possible and it also offers potential for further growth in cargo volumes.” Services to the Baltic states and Russia are located in the Ostuferhafen, which is the port of Kiel’s cargo and logistics hub. DFDS RoPax ferries link Kiel every day with Klaipeda in Lithuania, while St. Petersburg is served once a week by RoRo ships trading with Russia. “The liner service to St. Petersburg is also an ideal starting point for on-shipments into the Russian hinterland”, said Dirk Claus. Goods shipped via St. Petersburg move on not only to Moscow but also to western Russia and as far as Kazakhstan.

    Forestry products in particular are among goods imported in the opposite direction from Russia for processing in Kiel. A further 5,000 m² warehouse – Shed No. 12 - is currently being built in the Ostuferhafen to store sawn timber.
