Por cierto, he estado repasando los plazos de las pruebas de la fase 1 de la vacuna del Ebola de GSK.
La inmunogenicidad se midió a las 4 semanas de la vacunación. Imagino que los plazos serán similares en el caso de la vacuna de Novavax.
El estudio de Novavax comenzó el 1 de febrero, y los voluntarios recibían dos dosis, la segunda dosis justo 21 días después de la primera.
Si la inmunogenicidad se mide 4 semanas después de la segunda dosis podemos suponer que un alto número de pacientes ya han sido testados para comprobar sus niveles de inmunogenicidad.
Prácticamente todos los pacientes que comenzaron las pruebas en febrero están dentro de esos plazos porque aunque hubieran recibido la primera dosis el día 28 de febrero la segunda dosis habrían recibido el 21 de marzo y para el 21 de abril ya habrían pasado las 4 semanas para medir los niveles de inmunogenicidad.
Sabemos que el 24 de marzo ya no se reclutaba gente así que para medidos de abril todos los voluntarios ya han recibido las dos dosis. Es decir para medidos de mayo la inmunogenicidad se habrá comprobado en todos los pacientes sin excepción.
Con todo esto lo que quiero decir es que para el 12 de mayo (El día del panel de la FDA sobre el Ebola) Novavax debe contar con datos de un gran número de pacientes.

our shares of Class A Common Stock over the approximately 36­month term of the Purchase Agreement. In consideration for entering into the Purchase
Agreement, the Company issued to Aspire Capital 210,523 shares of its Class A Common Stock as a commitment fee. The commitment fee will be amortized as the

Con la vacuna de GSK ciertos problemillas y efectos adversos se manifestaron incluso un día despues de la vacunación. Lo digo como referencia respecto a la seguridad de la vacuna de Novavax y la ausencia de noticias respecto a efectos adversos.
Y un último apunte, los datos de la fase 1 de la vacuna de GSK en humanos eran similares a los datos recogidos en los ensayos realizados en primates no humanos con la misma vacuna. Lo mismo debería suceder con la vacuna de Novavax.
