Según StreetSmart, ganas mucho más con este sistema que con un Buy and Hold: simplemente trasladas tu dinero a algo seguro (monetarios, etc.) finales de abril o principios de mayo, y vuelves a trasladarlo a tus fondos preferidos entre finales de setiembre y Halloween (el 31 de octubre.)
Parece que gana al S&P 500 sobre todo durante los Bear Markets.

Pues hay otros estudios que dicen que es cierto, pero los "expertos" lo rechacen porque no está compatible con el efficient market theory y por eso no puede ser.

The midterm elections have proved to be a vote for the market regardless of which party comes out on top, shows data compiled from the Bank of Montreal. Since the end of WWII, the Oct. 31 to April 30 period has proved to be the strongest period for stocks, with an average 7.1% gain for the S&P 500. Midterm election years tend to see that performance get an extra boost, with stocks returning 16.3% over the same stretch. It’s virtually certain the GOP will retain control of the House, although the question remains whether Republicans will take control of the Senate.
